Principal’S message

Principal Navarro at P.S. 35X

Dear Students, Parents, and Community Members,

As we embark on another exciting chapter in our school's journey, I wanted to share with you what drives the
mission at P.S.35X and what we're working to cultivate together.

Cultivating Curiosity

Our hallways buzz with questions. We celebrate the student who asks "Why?" and "What if?" as much as the one who finds the right answer. Whether it's in our science projects, literature circles, debate clubs, Mindcraft classes and our inclusive environments, we're fostering a culture where curiosity isn't just welcomed—it's essential. Our students learn that exploration is a pathway to discovery, and every question opens a door to deeper understanding.

Building Brilliance

Brilliance manifests differently in each of our students. Some shine through academic excellence, others through creative expression, athletic achievement, or community leadership. Our role is to provide the tools, opportunities, and support for each child to discover and develop their unique strengths. We're not just preparing students for tests—we're preparing them to think critically, solve complex problems, and contribute meaningfully to our world.

Fostering Belonging

Every student who walks through our doors deserves to feel valued, understood, and included. We work
intentionally to create a community where differences are celebrated and where every voice matters. Whether
through our diverse clubs and activities, inclusive academic practices, or our commitment to meeting each student where they are, we ensure that belonging isn't just a feeling—it's a reality we build together every day.

Excelling Through Diversity

Our strength lies in our diversity. When students from different backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences come together, remarkable things happen. They challenge each other's thinking, expand their worldviews, and prepare for a global society. Excellence emerges not despite our differences, but because of them. We encourage our students to embrace this diversity as one of their greatest educational resources.

Thriving Together

Thriving means more than just succeeding academically—it means developing resilience, empathy, and the
confidence to take on challenges. When our students thrive, our entire community flourishes. We see it in the
mentorship between older and younger students, in collaborative projects that solve real problems, and in the
supportive networks we build among families, educators, and community partners.

As we move forward this year, I invite you to join us in nurturing these essential elements of our educational
community. Your involvement, whether through volunteering, attending events, or supporting your children's
education at home, strengthens our collective efforts. Together, we're building more than just educated individuals —we're building engaged citizens, innovative thinkers, and compassionate leaders who will shape our future.

Thank you for being part of this remarkable community.
